Introduction

Hi my name is Patrick. I’m a father of four. Husband to a loving Wife Lisa, we have decided that we are in this journey together. My heaviest weight that I’ve been was 270 lbs. I initially started this on January 1st as a sort of new years resolution.  I’m starting this blog to see how it all works and to hopefully keep me somewhat accountable for my food and exercising.

Currently I am weighing in at 233.8 lb’s.  My weight goal I’m aiming for is 185 lb’s

Back Story:

I was diagnosed with MEN2A (Medullary Thyroid Cancer) back in 2009.  This resulted in me having to have a thyroidectomy surgery being performed. Before I was a scrawny 160 lb’s, my weight has been an uphill battle since. You never truly know what a thyroid is really doing for you until it is gone. I’ve been diagnosed with sleep apnea, high blood pressure &  back issues. It’s definitely time for a change.   With the health issues that I’m currently experiencing, being healthier in my diet and lifestyle will be a new chapter in my life and will require change but I’m willing to meet this head on.
